Phenom 100 reaches 100,000 flight-hour mark 9 May 2012São José dos Campos, Brazil, May 9, 2012 – Embraer Executive Jet’s entry-level aircraft, the Phenom 100, passed another program milestone when flight hours totaled 100,000, a little over three years since it entered service in December 2008.
"This is a significant milestone achieved in such a short time," said Luciano Castro, Embraer Vice President, Programs – Executive Jets. "The Phenom 100 now has a healthy market share. The success of the aircraft, with 240 now in service worldwide, results from its flexibility in being able to meet the needs of diverse customers including private individuals, corporations, flight schools and motor racing executives as well as fractional and charter companies."

AG signed a contract, today, for the purchase of five additional EMBRAER
195 (E195) jets. The aircraft will be operated by Verona-based Air
Dolomiti, Lufthansa's regional partner in Italy. The value of the
acquisition, at list price, is USD 226 million. Deliveries are scheduled
to begin in the second half of 2012.

Air New Zealand and Boeing Announce Date for Sustainable Biofuels Test Flight11 Nov 2008Air New Zealand and Boeing [NYSE: BA] today announced Dec. 3 as the date for the airline's sustainable biofuels flight from Auckland using a 747-400 jetliner. Conducted in partnership with Rolls-Royce and UOP, a Honeywell company, one of the airplane's four Rolls-Royce RB211 engines will be powered in part using advanced generation biofuels derived from jatropha. Air New Zealand now becomes the first airline to use a commercially viable biofuel sourced using sustainability best practices.
